Coco Bryce – Live At 7th Storey Projects X Two Hungry Ghosts

This set was recorded live on 14 December 2018 at Aaja, Deptford in London. Disc World would be located near here in 2019 before it rebranded to Planet Wax and moved to New Cross Road. The night was put on by Simon from 7th Storey Projects, and myself, to celebrate the launch of Fushara’s album Tomorrow’s Symbolism.

Simon flew in Coco from the Netherlands to play alongside Fushara as well as Tim Reaper & Dwarde who were busy with their Globex Corp series at the time.

The mix features tracks like Lovin U (I still absolutely adore this) and heavy hitters like Get On Up.

You can also expect plenty of pianos and 4/4s scattered among the jungle in this set, as well as a mad version of Magic Feet by Mike Dunn. I should probably know what that is but I don’t, it might even be the original just really sped up. Anyway, I like a bit of mystery so won’t go digging.

Overall, this is a great set where the energy is up there with some of the best, and I’m sure you will be bopping around your room in no time.

Massive thanks to Simon for sorting me out with the recording and to Yoël for allowing me to post the set 8 years after it was recorded.

You can stream the mix in full below or on our Soundcloud here.
